Akubra Hats The Territory

The Territory wide brimmed hat offers outstanding protection from harsh sun or heavy rain. It is named for the Northern Territory, Australia's Top End, with its vast stretches of hot dry desert and its wet tropical jungles. If you're not in the tropics, it's an ideal hat for any activity in the sun, whether gardening or going to the beach.

• The brim is 4 inches wide, tilted down in front and back.
• The pre-creased pinch telescope crown is 4 inches high, with two large eyelets on each side.
• Brim: 102mm,, cut edge
• Imperial Quality pure fur felt, fully lined.
• The leather hat band is stamped with an attractive design and there is a reeded roan leather sweatband.
• Features an embossed bonded leather band and eyelet vents
• UPF rating 50+.

How to find your hat size:

• Measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2") above the ears
• Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, across the temple and above the eyebrow ridges.
• Check the size chart given below.

NOTE: For in-between measurements use the next size up.

 
For an enduring fit with your new Akubra the following points should be considered:

• The Sheepskin inner band of the hat may shrink slightly with use. Do not expect a tight-fitting hat to 'loosen up'
• In time, the hat will conform to your head shape. Initially, a slightly loose-fitting hat can be adjusted using folded tissue placed behind the inner band, then removed as the hat conforms to your head shape.
• SHIPPING: Please note, Hats require extra packaging, labour and postage to ship safely. All hats have a flat $35 shipping and handling charge to ship within Canada. 
• Recently, Akubra hats has stopped providing hat boxes with their hats, meaning that newer Akubra models will not have a hat box during shipment. We will provide an alternative shipping method for the hat that is secure and safe for shipment.

We ship through a third-party fulfillment provider that utilizes a variety of carriers, including Purolator, UPS, Canada Post, and USPS. We may choose a shipping provider based on delivery times and fees. US orders have additional requirements. Please read our return policy for more info.

All shipping fees are non-refundable, and are listed in Canadian Dollars. Free shipping rates are valid on pre-tax amount.

Return Policy

Items that are unwashed, unaltered and unworn carrying the original tags can be returned within 14 days of fulfillment for a refund or exchange. Clearance and discounted items are not eligible for returns.

For International orders, when shipping your return, please ensure that the description of goods states: “Goods returning to Canada" and it is shipped to our US returns address.
