Akubra Hats Kiandra

Wei's Western Wear is proud to offer the Kiandra, from the Akubra range of town and country hats. It is named for a town in the Kosciusko National Park in New South Wales.

• The crown, about 4 inches high at the front, 4½ inches at the sides, has a center crease with front pinch.
• The hat has a 3 inch raw edge brim with rolled sides, down in front and rear.
• Imperial Quality, pure fur felt.
• Fully lined, with chin strap hooks set inside the crown for easy attachment of a chin strap.
• Reeded roan leather sweatband.
• The ornamental band has a braided overlay in the center, bronze Akubra nameplate.
• UPF rating 50+.
• Made in Australia.

How to find your hat size:

• Measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2") above the ears
• Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, across the temple and above the eyebrow ridges.
• Check the size chart given below.

NOTE: For in-between measurements use the next size up.

 
For an enduring fit with your new Akubra the following points should be considered:

•  The Sheepskin inner band of the hat may shrink slightly with use. Do not expect a tight-fitting hat to 'loosen up'
• In time, the hat will conform to your head shape. Initially, a slightly loose-fitting hat can be adjusted using folded tissue placed behind the inner band, then removed as the hat conforms to your head shape.

SHIPPING: Please note, Hats require extra packaging, labour and postage to ship safely. All hats have a flat $40 shipping and handling charge to ship within Canada. 

Recently, Akubra hats has stopped providing hat boxes with their hats, meaning that newer Akubra models will not have a hat box during shipment. We will provide an alternative shipping method for the hat that is secure and safe for shipment.

We ship through a third-party fulfillment provider that utilizes a variety of carriers, including Purolator, UPS, Canada Post, and USPS. We may choose a shipping provider based on delivery times and fees. US orders have additional requirements. Please read our return policy for more info.

All shipping fees are non-refundable, and are listed in Canadian Dollars. Free shipping rates are valid on pre-tax amount.

Return Policy

Items that are unwashed, unaltered and unworn carrying the original tags can be returned within 14 days of fulfillment for a refund or exchange. Clearance and discounted items are not eligible for returns.

For International orders, when shipping your return, please ensure that the description of goods states: “Goods returning to Canada" and it is shipped to our US returns address.
